So I'm cleaning my garage, and I'm finding intake after intake. Two-barrel, spread bore 4bbl, and square bore 4bbl. Why in the hell am I keeping these gaddam things around? They weigh a frickin' ton, and Nobobdy in their right mind would build an engine with one on it. Aaaaaaargh!! What's worse is that scrap prices are as low as I've seen in close to 20 years.

Save the baffle plate from the 2 barrel ones he scrap them out. Save All of the normal square bore (non-spread bore) ones and see of you can sell off the spread bore ones for the price of scrap or better. If not, pull the baffle plate and scrap off the spread bore ones. The original square port 4 barrel manifolds aren't bad and the purests want them. No one cares about the 2 barrel ones or the spread bore ones. They are worth more in scrap cast iron than anything.

I figgered on keeping the square-bore ones. One is for a '69 390 that I have and the other is for a '70 360 that I also have. I've tried selling the spread-bore ones for $10 and get no takers. Gawd, they are freakin' heavy.

I couldn't get $10 ea for the ones I had so I removed the baffles and scrapped all of mine a few years ago. Like Rick said, the earlier ones can bring some money but I don't like hauling that heavy stuff to shows to try to sell so I dumped it quick and very cheap so I wasn't tripping over them in the shop. I've been trying to do the same with stock exhaust manifolds but I can't seem to sell them. I don't know how these guys are getting $100 set of stock exhaust manifolds, I can't even get $20 ea for them...

Out here on the left coast, ya' can't even give away AMC stuff. I have piles of "free-flow" exhaust manifolds, no idea how those guys get $100-$200 a set or more for those damn things.

I have a pair of those. I'd be thrilled to get a C-note for 'em. BTW, I actually did sell all of those intakes for $10 each to the same guy. It was like a miracle.

I gave all my iron to an old dude down the street. About four pickup loads of manifolds and heads and blocks and shit. Fuck amc. Even amc dorks wont give you a dime for the shit. Old dude was so happy he spent a month in ic after that. Bet he spent all of the five bux he got for the scrap in 2.5 seconds in the ic.

I threw out some small car V8 manifolds years ago. That kinda pisses me off. Plus let a pair of fag flows go and a couple 2bbls intakes with the baffles on. We never used the baffles. Only time I ever saw the PCV draw oil was end the end of the 1/4. Never used oil driving em regular.
