My long term FAST series build finally make some numbers on the dyno late Saturday night! It's no giant slayer, but should hold It's own for a "small block 360" 😉
It started out with a set a sbc pistons from a local Milan Dragway all motor class racer who had changed directions for his build, and sold me these custom Ross pistons with rings for $150. I didn't have a plan for them at the time, but for the money I snagged them. 1.053 compression height, 4.195" bore, lightened with only a .043" top ring and 3mm oil ring, no 2nd scraper ring.

I ended up having a nice std/stock 401 crank offset ground to 3.9" stroke, and using 6.200" Callies Compstar rods for a 431" combo.
A Herbert hydraulic roller cam with 240/245 @ .050 duration custom ground on 114 LCA, installed at 115. Solid Crane roller lifters and 1.8 ratio T&D shaft rockers yield .680"/.703" lift and barely fit under stock valve covers.
John Rosello offered to help with the heads and stock iron intake when no one else wanted to. The iron heads have the intake port roof raised .300" and brass pushrod tubes, 2.10"/1.65" LS valves with 8mm stems, and flowed 303 cfm at .900" lift. 66cc chambers make 11.2:1 compression. The 5532 iron intake was a huge challenge, and doesn't quite flow as good at 264 cfm, but the real restriction would be the Autolite 4300.
I ported my own free flows to finish the top end.
Other goodies are a Romac balancer, Canton oil pan, crank scraper, MSD ready to run distributor, RobbMC fuel pump, and a well tuned 605 cfm Autolite 4300 carburetor that I built.

And the dyno session video below. It made 505 hp at 6500 rpm peak, but pulls to 7k rpm. Torque was 454 at 5400 rpm. I'm pretty happy with it all!
