Sez hes got 9200 in it, asking 7950. However, i think that Half of invested price is 4600. Will 4600 really buy it? Or am i rambler mentality-ing it too much? I have those damn transportation costs yaknow . And i’m cheap. I Can pay cash, well yeah I know i’m workin it. I gotta be me😆 pm me if i havent shot myself on it.

4600 would be a sweet deal. There aren't many guys out there from whom I would buy an AMC V8.

The reality is he had over 10K in to it before it came to me. It cost him another $3,500.00 to get it sellable. There are expensive parts in it and 2K worth the port work on the heads. I made up a spread sheet and it would cost $9,800.00 to build that exact engine from scratch.

He's in it that deep, he may as well put it in a chassis and go have some fun.

I never understood why he had that engine built for a car that was just going to be street driven, only to have three people try to fix it and finally only Rick was able to get it straightened out. I didn't follow all of the $ he spent but I bet it was well north of $10,000 by the time it was finished. I picked it up from the original builder and delivered it to the first guy that was going to try to get it straightened out. It only got worse with every other person to touch it, except Rick. I told him right from the start that he should have had Rick build it for him..

Yeah, 71, dude's been on that forum for how long, and still had someone else build it?

Well it still is a very interesting engine. It would be cool to see how it runs. Seems like so many nice hotrod motors never get raced.

Yeah, 71, dude's been on that forum for how long, and still had someone else build it? In his defense, he's in his mid 70's and he has some physical limitations, he has a bad back and legs. If it wasn't for pure stubbornness, he would be using a cane or walker. He really is a great guy and would do just about anything for a friend.

By someone else, I meant someone other than Rick. I think a number of those guys are pretty decent really. Not sure why they hang out with dillB.

I can relate to the age shit being 71. Granted it doesn't take me 15 minutes to hobble out to the car and get in. What used to be a one man one day job now takes a few days more. Finally got the car back in service after a week doing rear mainseal, bearings, tie rods and a 3 piece crossmember I had collecting dust from my old car. Then adjust all the alignment back

Alex is a great guy, and I can honestly call him a friend.
