I dunno where i put my rants about junk parts so i started this one. First up. POWERMASTER STARTERS. Havent tried their alternators. Wont either. So heres my shit story. I have bought a few brand x y and z starters. They are all still working great. The first powermaster starter i bought fron summit sucked ass. It turned over kinda weak and erratic before it made the death buzz. It lasted all of ten seconds. Waiting on a replacement. Not sure why i would want one. I guess i dont. First powermaster was a suck masterš¤£ lets see how the next one scores. Really now how does that happen. Powersucker starters! Dan stollings approved for the gaymc fail! Obvoiusly not tested before shipment.

Only mini starters i had great luck with were from a place in ( I believe) Texas. They were called alterstart. Flawless operation in my blue car and another in my 05 truck.

PowerMaster XS Starter I got in 2006 from Kennedy had the wrong gear on it, had the late model 11T Jeep gear, worked ok once I got and swapped on the right 9T gear from PowerMaster, which was less than easy, they wanted it sent back for the swap, but convinced them differently, but it did still have a distinct sound, still on the car in 2023 afaik

The only problem I've had with powermaster is the drive gears breaking. I switched to their solid gear design and its been fine. They also make the msd starters. Powermaster is in chicago. They might have been under fire when that one was getting built? I read there is another company everyone is using for starters. I saw adkins post he has one but dont remember the name. I'll search for it.
