Had a new pair of one pc strut rod bushing TRW. Replaced them last year. after 1500 miles the things are junk. So this morning I started on drivers side. Removed the crap that was in there. Took me all damm day to get the two bolts back in place that attach lower control arm to strut rod. Finally got them back in. I tighten the strut rod bushing up and the pc of shit rubber bushing starts to crack and disintegrate just like the one I replaced.

Someone's new old stock? I fought with those lower arms briefly. Then i used a small ratchet strap around the arm and hooked it to a bumper bracket.

Hell, mine didn't even last 200 miles. Now I am going to replace them with the 2-peice style.

OOS? ( old old stock). Prothane to the rescue. Get them for an early mustang. Superior strut rod bushings that last.

The last time I saw one piece bushings was in 98 when I tore down the suspension down on my blue 69.

I use urethane for various reasons like durability, much firmer handling, cheap, available, summit always has em, easy to install, They got downsides but the upsides kinda work for me.
