A Manchester band doing a Lou Reed (well, Velvet Underground) drug euphoria induced cover song. But check it out, that is exactly what Joy Division did on the Birminham University outakes on the 'Still' album. They cover Sister Ray. Give it a search on You Tube.
I believe that I've said before that, musically speaking, JD is the ultimate for me.

Ironic too that the song title refers to the Kinks and not only did Manchester based Joy Division cover this song in '80 but the evolution of JD( New Order, an agreement that the remaining band members honored following the suicide of JD lead singer, Ian Curtis in May, 1980) into New Order also did a cover of the song in '87.

Not surprising that Bauhaus is a close second, with Bowie, in any carnation, a close third.

I don't think you mentioned the song title. I like some tunes. Glad to see ya' a little likkered up. It may be rough on the body, but it can be good fer the soul.
*Edit* silly me. Sister Ray is the song title. Coo.

That last observation you made is the exact reason to listen...no... to immerse yourself in the Joy Division experience. Don on a very good set of earphones. Dim the lights... wear warm clothes. I recommend the studio sounds from the album 'Closer'. That title is something else too. Two ways to pronounce. The second way, when it dawns on your...soul? Well, let's just say the hackles on your neck will begin to stand up. And by warm clothes I really mean surround yourself with all the lights on in the house... if you listen at night.
