I'd stay away from the newer Chevys.

I like the '90 as it has a 454, even though the dingus thinks it's a SBC. The '87 is nice, but has an auto. The black '90 has stupid exhaust and rattle can paint, but a nice bed. The guy with the '77 wants way too much, IMO. The Dodge....is...well...a Dodge. With a 318.

You're not going to get much of a truck for $3K. Be ready to fix a lot of stuff on it.

Yeah, I kinda factored that in. But I'm not interested in making payments.

Since it's a 454, that's much better then.

Is the black '90 3500 a diesel?

The rattle can black one is a '91 C-4500. 350 gas motor. The fugly bubba paint job pisses me off, but otherwise it looks like a pretty solid truck. Actually, scratch that. It is a 3500HD.

If any one had a turbo-diesel then I'd think to jump on it.

The chances of getting a diesel in my price range are somewhere between slim and none. I'll be lucky if I can get 454, and have the rest of the truck be in good repair.
