Lots of pricy bolt-ons and kept the stock rods. I know that they are good ones but what ever. It seems like they are a little low on the horsepower estimate. It will be interesting to see if he finds a buyer.
I have known George Doughtie since about 1978. He tried to sell me his yellow AMX/3 that he had for a few years. I got to ride in it, that was pretty cool.

"Sold as-is, used, no warranties."
Must be nice to have so much money as to afford 12,000 buck engines and it may not even make it past intial startup.

No shit... it needs to be fired, dyno'd and ran before he can recoup even have of his costs. I am not questioning the fact that he might have 14 grand in to this 500 hp engine if he bought everything on the high dollar and paid premium wages to get it machined and assembled. This is one of my interests... I would like to see a cost per horse power analysis break down on a given engine. It is called cubic dollars. I mean really, Aluminum heads, roller cam, fuel injection and it might make 500 horse power!? If you are going for 500 horse power, can't you do it with a torker, 850 holley, Solid lifter cam and, ported cast iron heads at a substantial cost savings? I think so.. I don't know maybe I am screwed up but it seems to me that for the horse power that they are predicting, they bought some major expensive components that they didn't need.

Not knowin' the guy who built it, you would have to tear it down and have someone who you trust check it all out.

Why, .030 over bore with .030 over rings on standard pistons dont work? ?

Why, .030 over bore with .030 over rings on standard pistons dont work? ? I take it you've seen those threads on YB as well? Surprising some of the shit people pack into a mill just to dump it.

Oops, missed the cam spec. I read roller cam and well, assumed the rest. He will be further ahead if he parted the engine out. He might re-coup half of his costs that way but, I doubt it. He is Skarouud.

I wonder if he would sell me the roller cam set up for like, $30.00. I kinda want to build myself a daily driver mill with a roller cam.

hey it would make a sweet daily driver with decent power and great driveability. but it wouldn't be much more than a stocker with a summit cam, with like 4000 bux worth of injection. but its still a nice motor, just not worth the cash and way overbuilt for the rpm its gonna see.

screw alfano, and anything thats got his junk bolted to it. anti walk cam BS!!! on a street motor !?!?!? he must be high. For that money start up and dyno is required. why not flat tap solid lifters. Is it a grenade?
