In doing some research on the dubbed "Traco Intake manifold" I found a interesting read. For what it is worth, TRA-CO built racing engines. They modified parts to work better. They didn't design and manufacture intake manifolds. With a "RD" part number the manifold, I believe that it a AMC research and Developement part. Who cast it for them is another question. www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=457dccec371f959cae954725ce5450c5&topic=9220.60

Some good reads in that one. I didn't get all the way through the thread, but the lack of mental masturbation was nice.

I'm fascinated by that Traco cross-ram, never even knew it existed.

Damn! That intake has my name all over it. Rick knows how much I love dual carbs on a street car.

I'd love to see a pic of that manifold with the top off.

I'd think it is an open plenum.

There once was a photo of the Traco "cross-ram" on the old AMC forum, off the engine but still with the top on. Because of the angle of the photo, you could see the port exit through one of the carb holes. It would have to be a short runner for that. I also wonder what the inside looks like.
