""1st thing you need is a bartender that makes his own beef jerky."" This opposed to one who jerks his own beef?? I just don't want to get the two confused...

The best jerky I ever had was from a Carabou quarter. Man, that was some good chit right there. I have made jerky from Venison and it was good but not as good as the Carabou. Hell I don't know , it may have been Elk. I will find out and correct.. Toasted Posting, that is what it is about.. Seriously if you have some kick ass Jerky, please send me some. I will pay for shipping or whatever.

Uuut doh! In to UP's wine and surfing the alternative life style living AMCforum... Geeze, how many times do we have to educate the masses on timing sets... Oh and what do I do about my one year only 1970 390 flex plate that I can't find anywhere.. Ya know, every time I post something over there just add "you dumbass" on the end of it. OK, I will behave myself now. Kadova here we come!! Read fast cuz I will probably be editing this tomorrow Yes, I resorted to one of the Miller Lites and yes it still sucks. The Grey Goose bottle makes a pretty cool wine bottle. Dam, Uncle Paul's wine was at 15% before he cut it back a little. Even still, it is kicking my ass!

I don't know the person or circumstances, but you've got more tact than me. I believe I would have written him his check, and told him he should fold the corners over on one end to make a nice point and then shove it up his A$$ !!!! some a-holes are made and some are born that way I guess he's of the latter variety.....

Ok, over on the alternative lifestyle forum there is a couple of posts having to do with installing chevy power plants in AMC cars.. NO IT IS NOT OK!! Holy chit how much more clear can it be!.. I mean, is it just me? Can you imagine the Mighty Mopar guys or the ford guys entertaining the thought of a AMC power plant in place of their perspective 360 power plants? Right, I am sure it would be welcomed with open arms because they are so open minded to that type of thing. I don't know a lot about the other power plants but just enough to be dangerous. So a ford 360 you throw away and go with a 390 for torque in your old truck or, you build a 427 stroker out of a 351. Um, a AMC 360 just might not be at that level quite yet. And I say yet because I think it can get there. Oh yea.. So the Mopar 360. Can be built in to a 413 or some stupid thing. Again the AMC 360 isn't there... yet. Will it get there? Yea, it can get there. In the mean time we got these dufasses throwing sbc's in these cars because you can buy everything at Kmart for a sbc. Yea, toasted and pissed.. Or if I was in Canada right now, I would just be "pissed up".

Easy Crusher!!! relax, you know not everybody has 15 AMC V8's laying around..........and not everyone likes a real challege. Besides you know the sbc is the greatest thing since sliced bread and you're lucky any AMC is still AMC powered.............

I have like 15 AMC powerplants layin' around. ;D
And yeah, it still irritates the shit out of me to see an alternative PP in an AMC. Especially a POS Mopar small block. Shittiest no power motor ever.

I wish I could get down to 15... Hell, I just counted 17 complete engines in the back room and that is not even counting the half a dozen bare blocks and stuff. I should probably get a better inventory count one of these days. I know that there are at least 3 back there that belong to friends and relatives. Geeze, there is 9 in the clean room and 2 out on the big room. I think I have 6 at the machinist. The worst thing is I just drank my last 2 beers and now I am all out... I hate it when that happens.

Yeah, but I don't build any for other people. It's all just my own accumulation.

Retro.. Big Picture, AMC 1968 through 1971: All new suspension for 1970. All new vehicles. All new engines graduated from 290 to 304, 343 to 360 and the 390 to... um, 390 for 1970. WTF? Can you imagine being at AMC in 1969 working on the 1970 model year!? Those people worked their ass off trying to get all of the changes accomplished. I know a coupe things about suspension development and yea, it takes a 3 year program to do it even close to right. Engine development? Emissions was a big deal and AMC was pretty dam good at planning for the future. My thing is the 1970 390 and the 1971 401. Somebody knows something. The first glaring question in my mind is why TF didn't they come out with the 401 in 1970 with the rest of the engines.. The 1970 390 is a Bastardchild and really so is the 1971 401 in the fact they are married to the old BW transmissions. So by 1972 they switched over to the 727's and TH400'S in the Jeeps until the end so to speak. I don't know, those years had to be really challenging at AMC and who cares now..
