Nice Read!
It was a time in our history where the country banded together for a common cause of defeating the enemy. There were no racial, political or other nuances that were to get in our way. And we won!
Fast forward to today. Sad but true, our country would be up "Shit Creek" without a boat, if we tried to band together to defeat anything that was to destroy our country.

You got that right. It's been down hill since they eliminated the draft.

Sorry, but I disagree. In that everything was not great at that time. The same racial tensions along with all the other divides were all in play. They have mostly been glossed over with the passage of time. The difference, IMHO, was that everyone accepted the fact that they were disliked/hated by their fellow americans. No one was left crying about how they were singled out from the rest.
It's a lot easier to deal with Archie Bunker than someone that wants to pat you on the back, only looking for somewhere to place the knife.

I just thought it was a really cool well laid out link to the Manufacturers that produced parts and vehicles for WW2. That is why I posted it up.

It's amazing how companies switched over for the war effort and how fast they all pulled together.
