Has anybody seen this show? These guys buy old beaters out of junkyards and barns, hokey up an old used motor, apply liberal krylon and flip these old turds for big $$. I shudder at the thought of all the hidden shit they leave undone on their "restorations". It's the Dan Curtis business model.

no shit. here in dallas? anyone have a business name or link? I havent seen the show, but can imagine what its like since i've seen a lot of other similar shows that end up with pretty disappointing results due to bizarro time limits and money limits and deadlines and dumb shit like that.

I dont mind the show, its somewhat entertaining.... The one thing I did see though that made me shutter a bit was when they built the drag race gasser and they cut half of the rear section of the sump out just to make it fit, thing cant hold more than 3 quarts of oil now.. lol....
Worst I have seen is that show where they own the big junkyard and hold their own auctions and "rebuild" muscle cars.... was it Desert Kings maybe, cant remember exactly........ hated that show!... I watched about 5 episodes hopin it would get better but never did, think it got cancelled after one season

I saw that one with the gasser. They use an awful lot of Krylon. Dan would be proud.

Well those idiots will put some LSfantisckia bull shit engine in there cuz they wont have a fkn clue about AMC engine building. I really like Gassers. How they took that rusted POS and made it in to a shining beauty in two weeks? Bondo and primer over the top of the rust. I saw that one (Green '53 ford) go through the auction and it looked sweet. I wonder what it will will look like in 5 years from now............ Well I do know, it will have to completely be done again. OK, off soap box now..

I can't bitch too much about a modernized drive train, but shit from government motors would be a no-go. I'd go with a Nissan/Infinty or Toyota/Lexus V-8/trans/rear. Or maybe Ford if I found the right setup cheap.

go with an 07 KIA AMANTI. that power train is the shizz! And after you roll it off the lot, its worth exactly 50 bucks. so no big deal choping it up.
the latest GMG had a post war car painted up 80s stile. They droped it, and shot it flat black. I think its funny that ther custom steering is a mirror image of my bad ass work on the Gremlin. I just dont know if thats good or bad.
