at least it's nice to know, the guy hanging your 1/4s and assembling your engine, makes far less many than someone scrubbing toilets at the local Micky Ds. Would ya pay $$$$ to have the minimum wage Janitor build your car for you?
No workman's comp, so pay all your own insurance or hospital bills if you get hurt, plus buy all of your own tools.

I am guessing that it is one of the Fletcher's unless Dan's shop is in Peoria as well. I wonder if I could get a job for the winter there. I could be a Snowbird. Just googled it. Looks like Dan's second shop. www.amcmusclecars.com/location/

I just wish Dan knew the difference between "ad" and "add".

I like his definition of "entry level"
That way you can justify paying people way cheap.

"I wonder if I could get a job in the winter"
Probably not, as I sent my resume already and was told I was over qualified. "We only do collector quality restorations here". LMAO

Well, let's just start off by saying that is illegal. They can not be employees and independent contractors at the same time. If you do the work on there schedule, at there facility, using their tools, you are an employee, not a contractor.

How about if they charge the "contractor" for rent on building and facilities.. I think it could work!

You know shit like this really piss me off. Someone should post this over at the AMC Forum to show what a douche bag this MF is.
So with some experience in fitting panels and such, were going to pay you $10.00 per hour as a contractor.
If the person works the normal 2080 hours a year> $20,800. So now you are a self employed contractor subject to 12.4% FICA tax. Now your down to $8.09 per hour. But wait, there's more!! Due to the last incompetent MF'ing president (along with the entire congress) you will have to pay $94.00 per month to get the "Silver Plan" AKA Obama Care BS which is going to bring your pay down to $7.56 per hour. Now they make it sound really good because they have reduced this cost of the Obama Care plan by 73%, knowing you can't pay for the shit anyhow, only making $10.00 per hour.
No wonder why most kids these days just text day in and day out and work at flipping burgers and such!

Yep, I know of dozens of places like this.
I'll never forget a guy looking for a "Mechanic" for his shop on YellowBullet. He gave what the weekly wage would be, then the hours. Came out to about $8 an hr and you needed 40K in tools to do all the shit he wanted done. No wonder he had 800,000 posts on there and a 5 million dollar race car, all the guys in the shop slaving and hardly getting by, so he could jack off and have fun 24/7/365, just cause his Daddy left him a shop to run. So he was "entitled" to all the money and if he felt generous, he'll throw you a few crumbs for doing billable work.

So much like WalMart, all his employees are on the Dole.
