I like how everyone is saying these are a great deal, worth every penny.
I'd be lucky to get 4k for mine with everything to make it an AMX except the grill. I have tons of spare parts, spare driveline and 4 intakes, gasp! to go with it.

Reality is tough to figure. If you want one, spend too much to get one then find out yup it's still a 50 year old pile of shit. If you have one and wanna sell it, yup everyone picks out the chip in the paint and the oil drop and poof it's with 200 bux.

Yep, I don't see them moving fast. I think Son Of AMX still has his 21k "Holy Grail" car. These 71s are soooo fucking rare, there's a dozen rare one's out there for sale for months.

Seems to me like if you see a javelin at all it's a humped one. Round here I haven't seen an early javelin in decades

In my opinion the 70 javelin is the one worth $ cuz it's got a lot of improvements over the 68-69 cars better front suspension and steering, better dash and interior, much better engines, and probably the best looking exterior from any angle of all the javelins.

The Humpster just makes a hell of a race car, light weight, aerodynamic (for a car of that era) and those huge wheel wells.

True but a good hornet hatchback is a bit better in all those regards. And has a smaller height ,width, track, wheelbase and frontal area. And nobody wants them for anything.
