I've said it before, I'll say it again. All I have is slow pieces of shit, but I don't spend what I consider big money to do that.

Well it's better than a slant six. Just not as good as a 304. But hey ya gotta have a few dipshits at the strip to make a few rounds.

All for only $5K, the price of two (vastly superior) LS-3s.

All for only $5K, the price of two (vastly superior) LS-3s. Yep, that's my point. I love 318s, had great luck with them. My LA 318 was faster than my 304, We raced them and switched drivers, same result. Didn't matter, 318 outran it in a heavier car. But for 5k it better be something worthwhile. Who the hell wants a 318 for that kind of chow?

I have a low mile 318 laying here that was gotten for free. I wouldn't waste my time putting that in an AMC. It would sit engineless till something came along. I have a free 440 here too. I Mental Masturbated about putting that in my Javelin decades ago. Shit who knows, a healthy 318 might beat it, but when people see or hear 440 Big Block they go ooooooo, unless it's an AMC purist. So at least that would be worth it in my mind.
