As I was digging through old pictures looking for the ones I took when I built the shop I realized that I have a ton of pictures of vehicles that have gone through it. So I thought I would start this thread to post up cool stuff that is in or has gone through it. Most of the stuff is AMC but, there has been some off-brands gone through it as well. Feel free to post up along with me.. I know, javtwotone probably could contribute to this one. Here is a picture from about 1986. The red AMX is my pure stock 69 that now resides in the corner being neglected. The green one on the right was my Cuz Rebel327's car. Got smashed, we put a clip on it and never finished it. He still has it stuck somewhere in primer and no doubt rotting. The interesting one is on the middle. It is one of 2 known Hurts Rent-A-car's. It was rotted bad and the hood had a giant hole in it. Lots of work but it came out really nice. Urethane Enamel before the whole base coat clear coat thing came out big. Oh Yea, I was about twelve in the middle picture. I made my own quarter panels.. The car was in the Checago area the last I knew.

This gargantuan pontiac is actually the first car that we did in the new shop in '82. The shop was partially done and only half the concrete poured. Doing the poncho help pay for the second side. Replaced the tail light section and fixed the rust at each wheel lip. The big black bastard came out good enough. Me and black paint have a issue.... I had to paint a black 1970 Lincoln 3 times because of poor quality paint materials of the 1980's. 5'5" guys shouldn't be painting 1970 Lincolns in the first place let alone wet sanding them 3 nights in a row. I could surprise a few at arm wrestling back then. Ahhh, the good old days...not.

Jeezus, Rick, you were more talented when you were 12 than I am now. I don't think I like you any more. ;D

Before I get too deep in to the trip down memory lane, I need to introduce my brother Jeff. I think that he has helped on every car that we did at some level. He is one of the best at getting the body line correct on AMX and Javelin doors. He not only gets them straight, he gets the correct shape. Not too sharp and not too rounded off. That is Lisa Lee hanging on the wall in back of him. He did his Bud's '69 Firechicken complete with new quarters and the whole nine. What color did it get painted? A AMC color of coarse. Beal Street Blue.

Not proud but we did more than our share of comaros. We didn't have a torch or a welder so we patched the junk with galvanized steel duct work and pop rivets. I was buying bondo for the chevy's in 2 1/2 gallon buckets at a time.. The car wasn't really even save in my book. It came out looking great (for a bondo bomb). What color you ask? AMC Matador Red! Notice the shop in the background with no ineterior walls or ceiling.

Mustang II. Cut quarters from a notch back and brazed on a fast back. Patched every other panel as well. Came in chit brindle brown went out midnight blue metallic. Lots of work but really came out nice. Painted a co-workers rotted Granada Matador Red. My '78 Concord quarter that I crunched when I backed in to my '69 AMX. The Cord was a great car. 258 4 speed. The AMX was (is) a great car too. My high school car. 290 4 speed. Still have the AMX, the Cord got scrapped after like 200,000 miles.

What he's not telling you about his '78 Concord: Yes, it was a 258 4-speed, but it was a 258 4-speed with an Offenhauser intake, Carter AFB 4 barrel, and headers with dual exhaust. Ran like an absolute sonofabitch! Wicked 2nd and 3rd gear. Always wanted that car......
