Had to borrow javtwotone's trailer (the red one, mine is the cool blue one with Jeep wheels) to bring the 4 post lift home. I guess that it is a "kit". Should be interesting, not looking forward to putting either one up. Ulterior motive.. I will be putting my SC/360 on his trailer before I take it back to him so that he can paint it for me. No progress is getting done, he can make some progress on it. Besides, the fkr can almost paint better than me now.. Meanwhile, the bro-in-law has one wall ready to sand and primer. OK so, I tore the front end off of the AMX today. Why? because I cant turn the wheels because the front end is smashed. Why do I need to turn the wheels? So that I can tarp it up and sit it outside until I get the shop done. Program management.. just can't get away from it.

Heck Rick, that'll buff out! ... all kidding aside, I'll bet that makes you sick to just look at that. Now then, is that just the shadow from your antennae-tower on the roof of the house, or do I see another new roof coming due?

Yes it makes me sick but, pealing the sheet metal off is a start I guess. That car is my fave.. I would sell the SC/Rambler before I sold that one.
That is a shadow but I do need to patch in a couple shingles on the lower level. I resorted to T-locks this last time around. The 3-in-ones just break off in the winter due to the wind..

Your welcome for the use of my crap trailer, and thanks sooo much for the big painting compliment! I can only assume your superior ability came from having to learn to paint car tops from a step ladder...

Aww come on Pumpkin, you know I am just teasing you... It was two step ladders and a board in between them anyway. BTW.. I ordered the shortest 4 post lift just so you will be banging your head on everything when you are working on my stuff.

Progress... One wall is in primer now, I have to find the second wall behind all of my chit.. Still in the Pisses Me Off section because I would rather be doing something else. Meanwhile, the AMX and Machine had to go outside and get Cucooned.. Gee... I wonder which buddy that I know from the old 3 forgot that nice full size truck car cover... javtwotone is going to store the SC/360 for me (while he is working on it)

Moved 17 crank shafts and got the wall cleaned off today. The 5' diameter steel Rambler sign weighed dam near as much as I do. I guess that I have a little drywall work to do..

Da Shop.. Not bragging here but trying to remember how many cars has gone through this place. In the early '80's my Bro and I were shucking out cars like you wouldn't believe. Rotted pieces of chit and a lot of AMC's. He was a high school drop out with talent and I put him to work. My normal job was local and I was home by 5:05. He worked days and I worked to at least to 10 every night and all week end. We had a complete repaint on a full size (giant) '72 Pontiac before the second half of the floor was poured with concrete. There was no inside walls or ceiling, just your basic pole barn. Straight out of the gun it came out pretty dam good. Good enough to wax and be happy. Then came the POS late '70's and earily '80's Comaros and Firechickens. What pieces of chit. I mean really, rust holes in the middle of a door skin? Our enjoyment was the AMX's. The 40's fords were pretty cool as well though. We did complete repair and repaint jobs on at least (10) 2-seaters that I can remember. I will Ramble on once the memories come back. I need to look at the old pictures so stay tuned.....

In primer.. The worst wall is yet to find.... Embarrising, not looking forward to moving this mess. Poor paint room.. short term storage area.

Rick, I don't know if you've considered this or not, but I'm going to cover my shop-ceiling with corragated siding... you know, that "wavy" galvanized stuff... except you can get it in several different colors of fibre-glass... the one I'm looking at is a glossy white. It's light, won't stain, and it's a lot easier to put up than drywall... your exposed conduit could present some challenges though. Just a thought...

I am going to tear the old drywall down and put up painted steel. Fire proof and all of that.

OK due to pier pressure (Cuz Matt) I have to keep the prizum AMC logo along with the dash plaques dating back to 1978 on the back side of the entrance door. I just may have to peal them off to paint the door though. What do you think of the Comanche poster, do I need to find a spot for that as well? Oh yea, I painted the RWB Javelin in the photo above the poster in this shop as well. It is the #4 car that Jeff B. owns.
