I just can't see where I can mount my AC compressor. Sorry, my mistake. I will add that feature to the next set of heads. FWIW, The intake started as two pieces of aluminum 7" x 7-1/2" x 22" totaling 225 pounds. The finished intake weighs 31 pounds. Yes, 194 pounds of chips is a lot of chips. The heads were 119 pounds each and now weigh about 42 pounds each. Again, a lot of chips.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but why not make a cylinder block. Then indy is outa business and you guys rule the planet. Once you have the program the hard work is done. Designed around replaceable/ modular cylinders, you could have options for coolant jacket, engine mounting, bore size, deck heght, cam bearing, you name it. In other words you could be the guy who developed a multi porpose alloy amc engine block that could be configured for street or continuous duty. Not that you would sell a large volume but you would sell a considerable amount or maybe all you could build.

but why not make a cylinder block. Sounds like a great idea but reality comes crashing the party. For one, I don't have a machine big enough to do the job. My "big" machine is 25 years old and was barely big enough to make the heads. It also struggles with any true 3D machining. It is not even close to the machine needed to do that kind of work, especially for any kind of production(more than 2). The intake is about 62 hours of machine run time. Hard to make any money at that rate. And I did it in two pieces not because I wanted to, but to fit within the capabilities of my machine. Also, the intake is only the second thing I have made like this, the heads were the first. Not sure I am the guy to try a block just yet. LOL

Well that clears that up. Its easy to see everything as being easy. 60 hours on a huge hi dollar hunk of aluminum equates to an intake only the military could afford. A block ? Yeah thanks for the honesty.

It's like in the thread at Dillby's. I like how everyone thought the heads were being posted as "look at what's coming for you to buy, and we'd like your suggestions for accessory mounting holes" lol Like the new intake thread started off......
I thought some one off heads were just being shared.
Yeah, just figure a basic 100 an hr labor, none of those clowns are gonna buy shit. Unless it's something stupid, like AR headers for a DQ cruiser.

Ok but to play the gaymc antichrist’s advocate, there is quite a bit of latent psyop going on when you lay a ken parkmn cylinder head decal in front of it. Now you can guesstimate whatever dollar figure you want on that one pair of heads, but if i had the resources ( is it worth stating there is no fuckin way) the only way you could get a set was for me to make a new 2.0 set and sell off the obsolete set. Because development at this level kinda rules out you providing the world with equivalent weaponry.

The fun is, lay a price on them then. "Yeah, we're making these $16,999.99 a pair bare." lmao watch the eyes bug out.
