Airbag it. Who cares reb. Think roadkill. Perfect it later. What you got are perfect springs for airbags. With bags you got a fully adjustable suspension for ride height AND rate. You got the 3.27 low gear right? Time to ditch the upper control arms, Build a three link bar, a panhard bar, qr1’s and WHAM you got a killer all porpose rear suspension you’ll swear your tires have kitty claws in corners and straighline. Then you can get the qr1 coilovers you really want.

I don't know how to do any of that. Prepare to give a lot of tech support. What's a QR1?

If do all that to make the rear suspension awesome, I'm gonna have to do something with the shitty front suspension and drum brakes. Can o' worms time.

Then save up for an arb air locker. I got your needs all figured out bud. Lol maybe too much. But really for now air bags are cheap and fun to play with. Get the onboard compressor and tank and be set up for the air locker. Have some fun! Your front end is no big deal. If it needs bushings get a cheap prothane kit. They squawk but are fun and easy to put in. I have a love hate thing going on with my dairyland suspension. It handles awesome and is good on the hiway but its clunky going slow. So all in alk the stock trunnion stuff aint all bad. One piece at a time . You get that tkx in there and you wont wanna drive anything else

I have a Pow-R Lock out of a '68 AMX, just need to rebuild it and get it into a housing with some 3.54 gears. A guy out in Hillsburrito is supposed to be swapping me a couple of Rebel/Ambo rears for some Wagoneer doors. With the .68 OD and a 28" tire, I could go as deep as 3.91.

The 3.54 will be more than enough.

Treat gears like cams. Your always happier with a more conservative choice.

In case anyone wants to know, Crown part# 33004041 works in this application if one wants a roller pilot bearing rather than a bronze bushing, which is what is recommended by Tremec. I got one on ebay for $12, even says Made in USA on it.

Remind me in about a month. I will get the CNC lathe making chips and will make a dozen of them. What are the other sizes of pilots on other transmissions? Hell I don't know.. You are the Stickshifter, you should know. LOL!

Went out today and started mocking stuff up. The shifter is gonna be 2"-3" further back than I would like. I'll either have to remove the center seat filler thingy, or fabricate a shifter relocation kit.

I flipped the shift tower around and went ahead and stuffed it in. It looks like I'll be able to live with it. Now to pull it back out and cut the shifter hole. Looks like I won't have to modify the tunnel at all, but I will probably have to have the driveline shortened a couple of inches.
