Back on the infrastructure... Had to lift the heavy ass 2-post lift off of 12 concrete anchors. The bottom frame work is solid 2" square bar. Used a pry bar that I found in the road one day to lift a corner at a time up a 1/4" at a shot. First I sat it on (4) of those 5 wheel caster deals that are rated at 2800#. Was working fine until it hit a seam in the floor. Wiped all four of them out so resorted to my chromed 3/4" rods from Sruts. Once I started using the rods it went easier. Here is a little video of the journey that it had to take. IMG_8041 by Rick Jones, on Flickr We filled in the 2" pit with 17 bags of Redi-Mix concrete today. IMG_8063 by Rick Jones, on Flickr Got the ceiling cut open so I can start to build the wall. The plan is coming together.. IMG_8060 by Rick Jones, on Flickr

That was quite the journey with the Lift. I moved my big FMC Tire Machine with Pipes. Worked very well.

Holy smokes Rick, that was a huge endeavor! You could have called me for some help, but hopefully you had enough. The hoist looks great in the new location!

Every time your crew posts pics its something new and impressive. You, neJoe, no2joe, stickshifter, i’m dumbfounded with the full on depth of awesomness you all have immersed your automotive joys in. Great lakes amc is the epicenter of amc no doubt about it. And we aint seen anything from the other guys.

Thanks Joe, I just didn't want to bother you. But will keep the offer in mind as I build the wall and storage loft. I will be walling the air compressor in as well. Yep I moved that big SOB by myself! I plan on adding another 4 poster and a 2-post lift as well.

Looks good Rick, is the wall to create clean/dirty zones, smaller areas to heat or create wall space for racks and equipment?

Looks good Rick, is the wall to create clean/dirty zones, smaller areas to heat or create wall space for racks and equipment? Yep the end I am walling in will be the dirty work area and the end I took the picture from will be a room I can paint in. I used 2"x6" for the wall because 2"x4" suck and 12 footers would be a bitch to work with. I will drywall the other side and add shelves to the inside so no space is wasted. Pretty happy with how it is going. Everything is square, plumb, and level.
