The crank is now in the trusted hands of Greg Blogus at RO-DY to be transformed into something useful. It may be able to get to a little over 4" of stroke.
And the hat looked great on Rick, we need that picture posted.

We had a club meeting in Toledo yesterday. One of the guys there is a retired AMC Mechanic. He worked at one of the dealerships from 1962 until 1970 and still carries his card every day.. certificate by Rick Jones, on Flickr

Wow, talk about brand loyalty! I have to admire that kind of pride in something, my generation and those that follow I am afraid will never understand that kind of dedication. My dad worked for Cummins, Inc for 41 years. They fired him this spring without so much as a thank you or sorry.

Well CRAP! The first meeting (actually) in Toledo since I've been back, and I missed the damned thing... I've got to find someone else to keep my calendar up-to-date!

I missed it also. I got busy in the garage and forgot about it. I still have my dads card and a bunch of other certificates. I hope to make blanks of them someday. Ya...probably not.

In the glove box of the '70 AMX I picked up in fast401's back yard I found this tag. My assumption is that at one time or another it got a factory replacement engine.

My unorganized file cabinet. I have been collecting AMC stuff since the '70's. I can't even remember where I got the Super Stock info.
