Looks like an expensive bunch of aluminum..... but very cool Surprisingly, my investment in these parts is somewhat low (got lucky), leaving room to pay for any repairs and making them fully functional again. Of course, I won't tell the machine shop that! One block looks to have been used, the other has not. The heads look to be of two different casting runs. This winter, I plan on getting them to a machine shop and find out what it'll take to make them work. I know how I'd like to build them, but not sure what to use them in. These parts are too cool not to use. Will save them for a retirement project, unless I put one in the wagon or AMX. It'd be really cool to find the intake and turbo system and restore one engine, better yet, find the car!

Were those the Indy car parts that were on ebay years back? If so, you got a great deal. Neat stuff for sure.

Were those the Indy car parts that were on ebay years back? If so, you got a great deal. Neat stuff for sure. I do not believe these are the same parts. I think those were in Ohio, these came from down south. These have sat around since the Indy car program, the original buyer was collecting parts for a project but never built it. I didn't originally find this deal, was brought into it because a friend didn't want all the parts. So we split it up and sold off some extra stuff that came with the deal. In the end my friend changed his mind and I bought out his half. The blocks I have are numbered, so at least 10 were made, and on the other forum one guy built a block that wasn't numbered. So others do exist. And I saw one block that was cast solid, no water jacket! The blocks have a revised oiling system, the main gallery is down the center of the block - not thru all the lifter bores. The heads have extra material on top of the intake ports, they could be raised up to the valve cover.

A local guy stopped by my garage today and gave me this NOS battery he had sitting around, it has never had water put in it and is still in the original box. Anyone know what year this is correct for? I thought it would be cool to put in the car for a show. Hopefully Photophuckit shows these pics! Edit: Aw crap, nevermind the pics I guess. It has a blue top with AMC logo sticker, a white case, and a stamp on the side that reads "G371P3". Let's try this on flikr... 20170731_233416 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr 20170731_233527 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr 20170731_233558 by Joe Pinsoneault, on Flickr

Don't put water in it! Sell it! I'm sure some wack job out there will pay $1000 or more for it.

Lol, believe me I have no intentions of actually putting water in to use it. Just thought I could swap it in for the stock AMX class once the car is on the field. I'm just not sure what years the battery is technically "correct" for.
