Cool. No pun intended. My Rebel had an aftermarket under dash A/C system in it. I never messed with it, but I still have all the parts and pieces, and a few lbs. of R12.

Ok so wow i got my prw damper in today after a couple weeks wait. Its basically the same identical part as the professional products part so i would say that they come from the same factory. The prw is finished nicer, also comes with loctite, and not only has a timing degree marks on the damper but comes with a timing tape decal kit for when the paint wears off, and GASP! It even comes with very complete INSTRUCTIONS! The professional products came with none of that. I guess there aint much difference but the prw part was worth a couple extra bux just for the extra consumer care they added in. Now if i can only get some custom pistons for my carelessly butchered cylinder block(s) i can try and find a competant machinist to balance all this CRAP. And hopefully he wont take six months or a year or two to do it. Man this project really has me pissed off😂 while i was jerking off mercilessly i bought some prw sfi spec flexplates. They come two ways, one is neutral balance and the other has a welded on 401 weight. The weighted wheel can be rebalanced to anything by drilling the weight out. I bought a couple of both. I also bought a sfi steel flywheel for a torqueflite flange 360, and a HAYS flywheel for a torqueflite flanged 304. Both have bolt on weights in case they might need reweighted or unweighted or rebalanced or whatnot. I figure this stuff is disappearing real fast and the way things are going may not come back.

Speaking of flywheels, I should probably get one for the spud 401 I'm gonna have you build.

Unless i can find a legit machinist , i cant even build one for myself. I have a good used one, and a used 420 incher.

The 420 might be a little radical for my application.

Well i think about dumb shit. All the time. And i think an eddy cammed 360 is gonna pull overdrive really well. So good you might drive that rebel a lot more. I dont even want a 401 in my driver. Its a waste of everything. I’m havent decided yet but if this 304 debauchle gives me much more illness i have ( what i think) is a fairly decent 4.0 that might go into street duty with a tkx behind it. Thats what could be my next prime mover. The 304 in my green machine is aging and started to use oil. My s-10 is going away. It has a slappy piston and a check engine light i cant fix. I may be driving a junkyard roadkill javelin full time come spring. I’m sick of obd-II and all it entails. I’m for sure not sick of patching up old junk to drive. Its far less aggravating than computerized bullshit.

If I didn't screw anything up putting the 360 together, I could see myself DDing the Rebel. Having my J10 back on the road has reminded me that I like driving old junk around. I DD'd a 360/5spd '66 Rogue for years in the late '90s/early 2000s.

Well i’m not making much progress on anything these days. But i need to get over it and get back to the roadkill javelin project. I just pulled the 998 out of ol green. It had a big pile of bronze dust in the pan. I still havent figured out where it came from. Maybe the convertor i dunno. I dont wanna cut a hole in the floor for a tkx. Besides needing a manual flywheel and a possible engine balance. And all the machineshops have a long waiting list. I’m about sick of that story. I need a 25k engine balance machine.

And so it goes. Since i already got the trans out, i decided to pull out the 304 and swap out the xmember so i can put a 4.0 in for awhile. I figure its a good move for the hiway miles she racks up these days. The 304 needs a rear main i know for sure. Its been using oil that may be why. I can put her on the spit and check or change the bearings and whatnot. Maybe put it in roadkill javelin. The weathers been real good so its time to get some stuff done again.

Ya never know. Maybe i can win my turbo challenge money for myself. But its not gonna have one for awhile. I want to see how it compares to the 304. I figure it should be about as fast. Or slow depending on how someone sees it i guess. But i am definitly hoping for more mpg. I get off on that more than a et. . Do think a turbo is a super addition to the sporty 4.0. Truly a fantastic engine in my opinion. I am pretty wowed by the power newcomer is getting out a his turbo 4.0’s. He has to beef up the mounting bracketry to keep from ripping the side out of the block.

Well i thought i should do a tune up on the javelin. Its been running a little poopy. So i pulled the plugs sunday. Welp. I dunno. Had a couple oily plugs. GAD is a 2000 mile round trip. Not so good of a situation I guess. Guess i better think about what i should do.
