I have the headlights pretty much installed. Here is a little video of a pair of $550.00 headlights. They cost what they cost but I saw other headlights in the thousands of dollars. IMG_5433 by Rick Jones, on Flickr

Thanks to javetwotone for making up the plumbing for me. It came out as close to original as it can be. IMG_5600 by Rick Jones, on Flickr I am holding a picture of how they mounted the remote oil filter in the number 2 Breedlove car so I mounted it the same way. Lucky for me that they took a lot of pictures of the number 2 car. They and magazine pictures have been a huge help to figure out how to bring the car back. IMG_5601 by Rick Jones, on Flickr Bricklin cars with AMC 360's use a remote oil filter. Lucky again that Bob's Brickyard is only a hour and a half away from me. He had a new old stock oil pump adapter that is exactly what we needed. IMG_5602 by Rick Jones, on Flickr Got the aluminum panel trimmed up and fitting pretty good. Thanks! There is still a lot of work to do and more parts to find to bring it back to how it was but I want to get to a stopping point for the AMO show in Detroit in August. We are close now. The interim to-do list is shorter than the done list. To do: Fill the hoses and cooler full of oil then prime the oil pump. Done Throw some gas in the tank and check for fuel line leaks. Done Install new spark plugs. Done Hope it starts. It did! Wire up inner head lights. Done
Completed List: Ford 9" out, AMC20 in with new rear springs, U=bolts, modified Torque Link Mounts. Race style Torque Links restored by NEJoe. Replace axles, hubs, bearings, seals, lug studs. Replaced U-joint Replaced Transmission. Modified '68 shifter handle to bolt up to Comp Plus shifter. Made new steel fuel line to replace ten miles of rubber hose. Made or adapted all new brake lines. Rerouted lines from inside the car to original position. Replaced old hdwe and wire loops with new. Moved battery from pass side to driver's side. Re-located coil and re-routed electrical with new starter cable and battery cables Fabbed up grille and inside head light buckets. Reinstalled engine oil cooler, filter, and hoses.

Yesterday, I got to pull the transmission back out so that I could detach the clutch disc that decided to weld itself to the flywheel. This used to happen to my old AMX after it sat all winter. Normally, I could pop it loose by shoving the clutch in and hitting the brake. Not on this one. It was a good thing that I had to pull it all back apart. It had the wrong throw out bearing as well.

I missed the opportunity.. To tell you the truth, I didn't want to run that engine any more than I had to while it was in my possession.

Long as it made it past the driveway, it's done, warranty is up.. Bonus points if you happened to pass the mailbox.

Well Bill got a Gold award in the Jr. Non-Stock AMX class with his rattlecan restoration on the Breedlove car at the AMO Nationals. Can't get any higher level than that the first time out so, that was pretty cool.
